Privacy

Privacy policy.

cloudprice is a static comparison site. We don't ask you to create an account, we don't store form input, and we don't run profile cookies of our own. This page describes exactly what data is collected, by whom, and what control you have over it.

1. Data controller

The operator of cloudprice (cloudprice.io) is the data controller for any personal data processed via this site. For privacy enquiries write to [email protected].

2. What we collect ourselves

Nothing personal. The only data stored on cloudprice's own servers is the curated pricing snapshot (purely public list-price data scraped from provider pages). When you use the comparison table, the filter selections you make are evaluated client-side in your browser — they are never sent to or logged on our servers.

Standard web-server access logs (IP address, user-agent, referrer, requested URL) are retained for up to 30 days for abuse prevention and capacity planning, then deleted. We do not link these logs to identifiable individuals.

3. What third parties collect (cookies & similar)

To pay for the bandwidth and the editorial work, cloudprice runs ads through Google AdSense and uses Google Analytics 4 to count traffic. These two Google services may set first- and third-party cookies on your device for the purposes of:

  • Google AdSense — serving ads, measuring ad performance, and (where you consent) personalising ads. Google may use your IP address, browser type, page content, and cookie identifiers. Full Google partner privacy notice: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate, anonymised page-view counts. IP anonymisation is enabled. We do not enable Google Signals or cross-device tracking.
  • Functional first-party cookies — only the light/dark theme preference is stored client-side via localStorage. No identifier is attached.

4. Legal basis & consent (GDPR / ePrivacy)

If you visit cloudprice from the EU, EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) banner is shown on first visit using Google Consent Mode v2. Until you accept, non-essential cookies are blocked and AdSense runs in non-personalised mode. You can change your choices at any time via the “Cookies” link in the footer.

Outside the EU/EEA/UK/CH the same banner is shown and the same controls apply, but the legal basis is “legitimate interest in funding free editorial content” with an opt-out.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we (or our processors) hold about you;
  • Rectify or erase that data;
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent;
  • Data portability;
  • Lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

Because cloudprice itself stores no identifiable personal data on its own infrastructure, most of these rights are exercised directly with Google for AdSense and Analytics:

You can always email [email protected] and we will help route the request.

6. International transfers

Google services may transfer data to servers located outside the EEA, including the United States. Google is the data controller for those operations and relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as the transfer mechanism.

7. Children

cloudprice is a B2B reference site. It is not designed for, and not directed at, children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

8. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the “Last updated” date below will change. For minor edits (typos, link fixes) the date may stay the same.

9. Contact

Email [email protected] for any privacy enquiries, opt-out help, or to exercise GDPR rights.
