A neutral reference for cloud VM list prices.
cloudprice exists because comparing on-demand VM pricing across seven major providers is harder than it should be. Each cloud publishes its rates on a different page, uses different unit conventions (hourly vs monthly, vCPU vs core, GB vs GiB), and applies different commitment discounts. The result: founders, SREs, and finance teams spend hours building spreadsheets that go stale within weeks.
This site curates the same data into one sortable, filterable comparison table. You can sort by hourly, monthly, or annual price; filter by vCPU, RAM, region, and workload type; and call out the cheapest USD-per-vCPU and cheapest USD-per-GB-RAM rows automatically.
Methodology
- Hourly list prices are sourced from each provider's public on-demand pricing page on the snapshot date shown below.
- Monthly = hourly × 730. This is the convention AWS uses; other providers publish monthly directly. We display both.
- Annual applies the published 1-year reserved or committed-use discount where the provider offers one: AWS Savings Plans ~30%, GCP Committed-Use Discounts ~37%, Azure Reserved Instances ~28%. Providers with flat-rate pricing (Hetzner, DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode) compute annual as monthly × 12.
- Prices are USD, on-demand, for Linux instances in a representative region. Per-region price variance exists for the hyperscalers and is not modelled in the MVP — verify on the provider site before purchase.
- vCPU type is the marketing-friendly short label (Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, Graviton ARM, Ampere ARM). The actual silicon generation may vary within a family.
Freshness
The pricing snapshot is dated 2026-06-09. Cloud providers update list prices occasionally and discount programs more often. Always confirm the current rate on the provider's own page before any purchase decision.
